Coastal Asphalt is here to make your job easier with our Lunch and Learn opportunities. You provide the place and the property managers and we bring the food and practical knowledge. Let our estimator Chris Jones and business development expert Tray Floyd show you the most common asphalt and paving problems and potential hazards of your property as well as how you can correct them, all within an hour.
One of our most recent Lunch and Learn opportunities was with our friends at the Pawleys Island office of Waccamaw Management, LLC, pictured here.
Lisa Hergenrother, Community Association Manager at Waccamaw Managment, LLC told us,
“A couple of weeks ago we invited Coastal Asphalt into our office for something they are calling a “lunch and learn.” They showed up on time with a hot lunch from Moe's BBQ and started their presentation at 12 o'clock. Their presentation ran about 20 minutes and was very informative on what types of work they do and how it gets done,” Lisa said. “We enjoyed learning about all of the various services they offer and look forward to working with them on addressing issues in our communities.”
We are ready to educate property managers on how to handle storm water issues, sink holes, ADA compliance, simple parking lot patching to full rehabilitation, and more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy lunch, or breakfast, on us!

Coastal Asphalt’s own Chris Jones is getting locked up.
That’s right. Our Salesperson and Estimator is going behind bars to help defeat a life-threatening muscle disease during the Horry County Lock-Up, a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Chris is going to jail April 27 and is raising his bail in advance. The critical dollars raised will support MDA's lifesaving mission to save and improve the lives of people fighting muscle disease. Together, we will fund treatments and cures, provide life-enhancing programs like state-of-the-art clinics and support groups, and send kids with muscle disease to MDA summer camps where they'll enjoy "the best week of the year" having fun while gaining confidence and independence.
Thermoplastic markings give your pavement more durability and a longer life expectancy. These markings go down anywhere from 90 to 120 mils, giving your parking lot thicker, permanent markings with a 10 to 12-year life expectancy.
“The biggest asset is the durability of it,” said Cleveland “Bear” Coates, Coastal Asphalt Striping Superintendent. “This is not something you have to do every year like paint.”
Our new Graco ThermoLazer ProMelt and ThermoLazer 200 TC machines provide professional pavement markings for high traffic areas, schools, malls, hotels, shopping centers, and all Department of Transportation rights-of-ways.

Say hello to the Pro Series Turbo Pro 500, Coastal Asphalt’s newest piece of equipment in its commitment to bring our clients the best service possible.
The Turbo Pro 500 uses a proven squeegee-spray sealcoat system in a rugged and powerful piece of machinery. We took home this beauty from Charlotte, N.C. while participating in the National Pavement Expo in January of 2016.
We enjoyed learning more about how to better serve our clients at the 2016 National Pavement Expo at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. on January 27 - 30.
“We were excited to carry six team members to this year’s expo,” said Matt Winburn, Vice President and Owner. “Education is something we are committed to. It’s a way to ensure our clients are getting the best use of their property as our team learns the latest in cutting-edge technologies. It’s definitely an important investment to move Coastal Asphalt forward and separate ourselves as experts in the paving industry.”
The National Pavement Expo is the foremost trade show that attracts vendors and contractors in the fields of asphalt paving, infrared pavement repair, sealcoating, striping, sweeping, crack repair and pavement repair, making it the perfect conference for professional development and continuing education.
Vice President and Owner Matt Winburn was recognized recently when Coastal Asphalt was honored by the National Guard Armory Sergeant’s Club with a Certificate of Appreciation for its support of the 1st Battalion 178th Field Artillery. Commander Willard Cooper and 1st Sergeant Steve Lambert presented Matt with the certificate at our annual Christmas lunch with our family of employees. Coastal Asphalt is proudly committed to our local community, our state, and our nation.
Our recent striping job at the Bi-Lo in Murrells Inlet, S.C not only makes a safer parking lot, but also a more attractive one.
